On 6 August, 1945 the USA dropped ‘Little Boy‘ on the town of Hiroshima. To commemorate this unfortunate day, the city of Hiroshima holds the Peace Memorial Ceremony for the victims of the atomic bombs and to pray for the realization of lasting world peace.
Then on 9 August, 1945, the USA dropped ‘Fat Man’ on Nagasaki. Now the city of Nagasaki reminds the world about the need for “peace” and the importance of avoiding wars.
When it comes to insurance:
the nuclear hazards clause in life and property insurance excludes coverage for any damage resulting from nuclear activity.
Insurance companies include nuclear hazard clauses in their policies because the potential loss from nuclear activities is so large that they would not be able to bear the financial burden.
