FLETCH (1985) – An Insurance movie
“Fletch” is a 1985 comedy thriller about one Irwin M. “Fletch” Fletcher, an investigative reporter who is offered a small fortune by a millionaire, Matheson, to kill him.
Why? Apparently, Matheson is dying of bone cancer, and he wants to end his suffering.
But why ask Fletch to do so?
Because suicide is NOT covered by his life insurance policy.
But there’s more to it than that!
What’s more, to claim a Double Accident Benefit (DAB), Matheson would have to die in an accident.
Cautious, Fletch does what he does best, and discovers that the millionaire isn’t actually sick!
Now, did Fletch actually go ahead and give Matheson the kind of death he wants?
We’d rather not spoil that for you.
