This is an advertisement that the TVS Motor Company placed in The Hindu in 1958.
In 1912, T. V. Sundaram Iyengar took a risk and provided people with a new, reliable means of transport – the bus. This great man helped herald a revolution in public transport in India. He was the first passenger on a TVS bus, despite concerns of safety and the fear of accident. The buses were said to be so punctual that people often set their watches on the arrival of buses as per prescribed time at the bus stand.
These great events helped in a humble beginning of Motor Insurance in India.
