NO VALID DRIVING LICENSE = NO INSURANCE CLAIM
It’s a known fact that the Law do not permit anyone to drive a vehicle without a valid driving license. A valid driving license is one that has not expired and allows us to drive a permitted vehicle. If you’re ever caught driving without a valid driving license or an authorized vehicle, you could be fined Rs 5000!
But what happens if a vehicle driven by a person without valid driving license is involved in an accident? How would insurance respond in such a case?
- All claims will be rejected by the insurance company.
- Either the vehicle owner pays all third-party claims or faces imprisonment.
- The vehicle will be seized by the Authorities.
- If the act of the negligent driver results in third-party death, then the driver will be charged (Criminal Liability) under Section 304A of IPC and will face punishment either with a 2-year imprisonment or fine or both.
Make sure you’re not breaking any laws if you want the motor Insurance you paid for to help you in your time of need.
