The first International Day of Yoga was observed in 2015. International Yoga Day 2022 focuses on the benefits of yoga against Covid-19 and how it helps achieve holistic health.
Comprehensive text on Yoga is the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Yoga is one of the six orthodox philosophical schools (Darsanas) of Hinduism. Hatha yoga emerged in 10th century. “Yoga” today means Hatha yoga – asana / posture-based physical fitness, stress-relief and relaxation techniques. This is different from traditional yoga, which focuses on meditation and moksha.
Our efforts here are to determine whether the health insurance covers yoga treatment, as claimed. Yoga is a part of Indian medical system. AYUSH stands for Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy – definite medical philosophies and represent a way of healthy living, prevention of disease and promotion of health.
NO INSURANCE COMPANY HAS DEFINED YOGA TREATMENT, except by lip-service. If you believe in this system of medicine then, before you take a policy, please check the policy terms and conditions, understand the definitions of AYUSH & YOGA. If unclear, please get in touch with us. We are here to help.
Happy YOGA Day!!
